Facebook videos are everywhere — in your news feed, on Watch, shared in groups, posted by pages you follow. But if you have ever tried to save one, you probably noticed there is no download button anywhere. The share menu lets you send the link to someone, but it does not let you keep the video for yourself.

That is what this tool is for. Paste any public Facebook video link into the downloader above, and you will get an MP4 file you can watch anytime — no internet required.

How to download Facebook videos

  1. Open Facebook and find the video you want. It can be in your feed, on a page, in a group, or on Facebook Watch.
  2. Click the Share button below the video and choose Copy Link.
  3. Come to this page, paste the link into the field above, and hit Download.
  4. Pick the quality you prefer and save the file.

That is the whole process. The file saves to your Downloads folder or phone gallery.

Live streams and replays

Live streams that are currently broadcasting will not work — the tool needs a finished video file. Once the stream ends and Facebook saves the replay, you can grab the link and download it like any other video. Replays are usually available a few minutes after the broadcast ends.

What about private groups?

If a video is in a private group or set to friends-only, the tool cannot access it. That is not a limitation we chose — Facebook simply does not share those videos with third-party services. Only public content is supported.

Video quality on Facebook

Facebook compresses videos quite a bit on its end, but the downloader still grabs the best version available. You will usually get 720p or 1080p depending on the original upload. The file comes as MP4, which plays on anything.

The tool does not ask for your Facebook login, does not install anything, and does not keep copies of your downloads. The video passes through our parser and goes straight to you.
